Popup Bug
09/09/2016 - 10:55
Hello!

I've been told of a new bug that occurs when you click on the "sign in" or "purchase" button. The screen goes dark and after some seconds a timeout red message appears.

This bug seems to have appeared after some browser update.

For now the workaround is:
- use another browser
- or middle click (wheel click) on the purchase button to open the popup in a new window.

Anyone having the bug, your feedback is appreciated.
I would like to know which browser version, which OS and which country. Also would be good to know if the bug occurs all the time or just randomly.

Thanks for your time!

Only occurs with HTTPS connection.
Use HTTP in the address bar instead, and you will see yourself.
You obviously need to check something with the certificate used for HTTPS.

Hello Tokay,

Any idea where the "s" is added? None of the links ever use https:// so it's more than strange someone would add a "s" for the fun.

Thanks

As far as I know, this is something that is taken care of by the browser itself. HTTPS seems to be quite standard nowadays.

Regarding how to solve this, I quickly googled and found this: https://support.mozilla.org/fr/questions/959914
Rather than asking people to switch parameters, checking MGF's certificate may be better.

The host didn't provide https before. But now we found that some google links are forced to https so that's probably the final reason why some people around ended having the bug.

I've fixed some code to handle both. Now all should work, if any issues.

Thanks!
