25/04/2013 - 15:36Use the strengths of the SNES. I don't believe this has to be a game eventually ported to GENESIS. Each system can have it's moment in the sun with different WM games. Game could be like any of the following in playability: Link to the Past, Secret of Mana, Super Metroid, or Contra III. Can't wait!
highly customizable characters, heavy puzzles, rewarding fighting mechanics and deep story is the way to go.
After waking up you could weave a tragic story of personal depression in a world ran by crazy overlord who's making a new drug to hypnotize people in to murdering lunatics. Through personal friendships and training after a loss of a love one you begin your path to redemption.
What if you did a twist of the traditions we love and modern day life. You would give the hero depth if you made him struggle with something like drug addiction. Imagine a fresh prologe where your running around slaughting everyone just to wake up in the gutter surround by trash and filth.
I hope that this project won't be a mode 7 game because I think it will be a big mistake to not adapt this to Mega Drive/Genesis too. In my mind, it's quite difficult to build a mode 7-like for SEGA's hardwares
It'll be AWESOME if the soundtrack get close to what Killer Instinct's soundtrack is!!!!! And I wonder if the game will be long, because that would be awesome. Games that end with 1 hour of gameplay usually suck!
I think it should have a futuristic metal soundtrack and some cool voice effects [2] Also, i think silly plot devices should be avoided.
"When will we be able to invest in Project N? Will we be able to do so in the near future?" You should be able to do so, already :)
Setting the plot at the beginning of the 20th century would do great then.
I think this is the best place to pose this question: When will we be able to invest in Project N? Will we be able to do so in the near future?
I don't remember who is was, but one of your users posted and idea of basing the game off of Greek Mythology, specifically the story of Orpheus going to rescue his wife from the Underworld. I agree 100% with this idea. All of the best video games have been influenced one way or another by Mytholoy
In all reality, I think you should make a super watermelon brothers in the same style as super mario world with guys who look like the ones in the poll someone posted, that would be an epic game and something people would pay for, abandon all the other ideas, everyone would love that game
I think the game should be so awesome new gen players are clamoring to have it on wii u, then they all dump funding into snes project n 2 so they can get it on wii u in hd, haha, make the game as appealing to all ages as possible, but have some weird stuff in it that makes people wonder whats up?
"clair obscur" Sounds like alot of grayscale. Maybe gameplay should involve switching between white and black colors somehow. Two platform layers that the player must switch between to complete the level.
So the player characters can be schizophrenic, most of the time seeing the world in a very odd way, in extreme dark and light shades. In short spurts they may break through and see in a different way, extremely saturated. Is it pills or is it something else that causes them to see differently?
I really desperately need puzzles. You can add as much action as you want. I miss having games like Zelda. I don't want this just to be another typical hack-and-slash I think puzzles will add that substance. I don't really see how you can gel the clair-obscur with colour though.
If the Project N being elements of beat'em up, It's good to suport another player.
Brain inching puzzles where you use the unique item to solve them. Not too many items and use the button layout to optimize how many you can have out. A challenge to be trifled with anything that can kill you.
Sorry, I was just teasing. This came to mind; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zq_EcoXua1I
I have nothing against family friendly, my favorite games fit that description. But claire-obscure doesn't. Many games can get kids into 16-bit (Robotrek), but think of this as one that keeps them interested.
